Market Analysis
France's economy expanded by 0.4% in the third quarter of 2024, according to official data released by the national statistics office, INSEE, on Friday. The growth was attributed to positive impacts from the Paris Olympics.
INSEE confirmed that the country's gross domestic product (GDP) rose by an average of 0.4% during the July-September period, aligning with the preliminary figure announced in October.
Exports experienced a decline of 0.8%, following a 0.6% increase in the previous quarter, largely due to a drop in goods exports. Imports also decreased by 0.6% over the same period, as reported by INSEE.
